Family Holiday
Having a particular appeal to families and kids, Malta is what one could call a safe haven for family holidays. Bearing this in mind, there are several activities that families can enjoy together, such as:
- Popeye village
- Playmobil Funpark
- Mediterraneo Water World
- Splash and Fun Water park
- The Aquarium
- Simar or Ghadira Nature Reserve
Bowling alleys, cinemas, gyms and other family centres are all but too common across the islands.
During the summer months there are numerous public and private beaches alike that offer great spots to relax by the sea and have a swim. Most beaches also offer a variety of water sport options – catered to ALL ages.
Should one opt for a more active holiday, the Marsa Sports Club, offers an 18-hole golf course, numerous tennis courts, squash courts, cricket, swimming and general fitness amenities. The Union Club in Sliema, is favoured by foreign residents for its pleasant club house and inexpensive restaurant. It has a bar, bridge room, barber and some excellent tennis and squash courts. In summer open-air dances are held on Saturdays.
You may also want to fit in some shopping while you are in Malta or Gozo. Lots of shopping centres are to be found in Malta that also boast restaurants and café’s as well as play areas for young children.
- The Point, Sliema
- Daniel Shopping Complex, Hamrun
