Nightlife, shopping, Bank, Casino, sightseeing, swimming zones and beach are all within walking distance. The bus stop is located 2 minutes away. Buses are easy and cheap to use and you can reach all the places of interest from Sliema.

We suggest booking a Taxi as it only takes 20 minutes by Taxi. We can organise an airport transfer and our driver will wait for you in the arrivals lounge with a sign showing your name. We suggest using our Taxi service as the driver knows exactly where the property is and he will call us before leaving the Airport so we will be waiting for you at the apartment when you arrive.

Buses are easy and cheap to use and the bus stop is located 50 metres away. We can also organise a car / scooter rental.

- Shopping: There a number of shopping opportunities in Sliema

- Dine & Wine: Sliema is full of bars and restaurants, offering a wide variety of cuisines and atmospheres.

- Take a walk at the promenade: To the right, the promenade leads you all the way to Gzira, Ta’ Xbiex and Msida marina, while to the left, there’s a walkway towards St. Julian’s, Paceville and St. George’s Bay.

- Churches: One can visit numbers of churches which includes, Jesus of Nazareth (Tigne Sea Front), Parish Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, St Gregory Church, Stella Maris Church and others.

About Sliema

Sliema is a coastal town situated on the northeast of Malta, adjacent to St. Julian’s. Once the home of Malta's aristocracy; it has now become a major commercial area, very popular for shopping, bars, cafes, restaurants and hotels.

Sliema acquired its name from a chapel dedicated to The Our Lady of The Sea (or Stella Maris) built in 1855, which served as a reference point to the fishermen who inhabited the area. The name is linked to the opening words of the Hail Mary prayer, which in Maltese are "Sliem Ghalik Marija". Sliem is the Maltese word meaning peace or serenity. Sliema is quite a large residential town with a population of around 15,000 locals; housing also a significant number of expatriates that reside there temporarily.

From one side, the Sliema promontory offers spectacular views across to Valletta, and from the other side, there are breath-taking open sea views. The promenade that stretches for a couple of kilometres is ideal for long walks or runs, while the various benches provide a place for the locals to relax and socialize during warm summer evenings. Sliema coastline also boasts the Independence Garden completed with a children’s playground, as well as two fortifications: a De Redin tower built in the 17th century to protect the islands against sea attacks; and another tower that was built by the British in a neo-gothic style in the 1880s.

Gozo island is a smaller island located to the north side of Malta. It is only a 30-minute ferry ride from North Malta. In Gozo, tourists relax at the Xlendi Bay and take in the beautiful cafes and beach scenes. The marine life in Gozo is really amazing and the most popular destinations on the island include Citadella, ta’ Pinu Sanctuary, Azure Window, and the Ggantija temples. The main attraction in Malta and Gozo is the Blue Lagoon.

Mdina is referred to as the medieval jewel of Malta. The name Mdina itself means that it is a walled city. The city has an Arab feeling with an atmosphere of Tiboli, but just smaller in size. The population in Mdina is only around 300 people.

Malta is also one diver’s paradise together with Gozo especially since the climate allows for it all year long. The clear blue sea and underwater attractions make it one of the greatest places for diving. The ocean offers wrecks, abundant marine life, cave formations, and underwater cliffs. One of the most famous caves in Malta is the Blue Grotto, which is a tremendously popular tourist destination for those who visit the island of Malta.

Property will be cleaned and prepared prior to your arrival, fresh bed linen and towels are provided.

 

- Security Deposit: 250 Euro / 400 Euro for stays over 4 weeks

- Cleaning Fee: 70 Euro

- No Smoking allowed

- Not suitable for pets

- No Parties or Loud Music

- Guests under 25 years Old only allowed if they are part of a family

- Rates include 20 Kwh of electricity per day. Additional electricity consumption is charged at Eur 0.30/Kwh

- For Special Monthly rates (Normally 28 days and over) water & electricity is not included in the rate and charged as per consumption.

- As from June 1, 2016, the Government of Malta is introducing an Environmental Contribution on stays at all types of accommodation.
All revenue generated from this initiative will be used to upgrade and embellish the local infrastructure in touristic areas around the Maltese Islands. If you are 18 years or older on the day of arrival, and starting your stay on 1st June 2016 or after, you will be required to pay an Environmental Contribution amounting to €0.50c per night up to a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay in the Maltese Islands,
including twin-centre holidays in Malta and Gozo.
