Guests have full private access to the entire apartment, front balcony, bedroom balcony, and outdoor area. The building has a lift to the 3rd floor. Street parking is available in the surrounding area at no charge.

We are available through the Airbnb messaging platform and typically respond within the hour. Check-in is fully self-managed. Full arrival instructions and access details will be sent through the platform 2 days before your arrival. We are not on-site but remain reachable throughout your stay for anything you need.

Senglea — L-Isla in Maltese — occupies one of three narrow fortified peninsulas enclosing the Grand Harbour from the south, alongside Birgu (Vittoriosa) and Cospicua (Bormla). The Knights of St John built and defended this area for centuries, and the Great Siege of 1565 was fought largely on these streets. What remains is one of the most historically dense and authentically local neighbourhoods in Malta — quiet in the best sense, with none of the commercial noise of the resort areas, and some of the most dramatic urban views on the island.

The Grand Harbour & Marina — 5 min walk

The marina waterfront is home to superyachts, traditional dgħajsas, and a growing selection of waterfront bars and restaurants. The Safe Haven Garden at the tip of Senglea’s peninsula is one of Malta’s most iconic viewpoints — the full sweep of Valletta’s golden bastions directly across the water.

Birgu (Vittoriosa) — 10 min walk

Birgu’s marina promenade is the social centre of the Three Cities, lined with restaurants and wine bars facing the Grand Harbour. Fort St Angelo — the Order’s great fortress — anchors the headland. The Inquisitor’s Palace and Malta Maritime Museum are both within easy reach on foot.

Valletta Ferry — 15 min walk

The Three Cities Ferry crosses from Birgu waterfront to Valletta’s Lascaris Wharf in around 15 minutes — the most scenic and practical way to reach the capital.

Cospicua (Bormla) — 5 min walk

Connects the two peninsulas at the head of the harbour creeks. The American University of Malta campus is based here, bringing a more active daytime energy to the area.

Parking

Free street parking available throughout Senglea — one of the most practical advantages of staying here versus Valletta or Sliema.

Valletta — 15 min by ferry / 20 min by car / 30 min by bus

Three Cities Ferry from Birgu waterfront — 15 minutes across the Grand Harbour to Lascaris Wharf. By car via Paola. Bus routes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 213 to Valletta Bus Terminal.

Malta International Airport — approx. 15–20 min by car

One of the closest neighbourhoods to the airport on the island. Taxi approximately €15–20.

Sliema & St Julian’s — approx. 20–25 min by car

Northwest toward Valletta, then north along the coast road.

Mdina & Rabat — approx. 25 min by car

West via Paola and Qormi toward Mdina.

Marsaxlokk Fishing Village — approx. 15 min by car

Southeast toward Żejtun. Sunday fish market is a must.

Golden Bay & Għajn Tuffieħa — approx. 40 min by car

Northwest via Valletta and Mosta toward the west coast.

Gozo Ferry (Ċirkewwa) — approx. 50 min by car

Northwest via Valletta and St Paul’s Bay. 24-hour service.

This is a self check-in property. Full arrival instructions, access codes, and entry details will be shared 2 days before your arrival date for security reasons. Please ensure your contact details on the platform are up to date.

🛏️ LINEN & TOWELS

Bed linens are provided for all guests. Each guest receives 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel. Beach towels are not included. Additional towels available on request and may be subject to an extra charge.

🏠 SELF-CATERING ACCOMMODATION

This is a privately managed self-catering apartment, not a hotel. There is no reception, no daily housekeeping, and no on-site staff. The property is fully equipped for independent stays and we are available via the platform throughout your stay.

🌙 QUIET HOURS

Please respect neighbours between 22:00 – 08:00. The Three Cities is a genuinely residential neighbourhood — guests are asked to be mindful of the local community in the evenings.
